Ivo Mulder, Switzerland
Within his capacity at UNEP FI Ivo Mulder is specifically responsible for building the business case for biodiversity from a financial institution perspective.
His aim is to engage the financial sector by identifying how loss of biodiversity, ecosystem services, and water (scarcity) may pose risks to the sector and what market opportunities there are to tap into emerging markets for REDD, biodiversity offsets, and water efficiency.
Prior, Ivo worked as an Advisor Market Development for Triple E – a Dutch knowledge-driven firm that operates at the intersection between economy and ecology between 2008 and 2010. He has furthermore worked for the Dutch National Fund for Rural Areas (National Green Fund), an organization which advocates optimum use of government funds for investment in nature and landscape, and the activation of private sources of funding for rural areas.
Ivo has also worked as an environmental finance consultant for KPMG Sustainability and Sustainable Finance Ltd., as a junior professional associate for the World Conservation Union (IUCN) in China and Switzerland, and as a consultant for Forest Trends.
