Martina Claus, Germany
Martina Claus is advisor for development cooperation, export market sponsoring and packaging for the Food Processing and Packaging Machinery association within the German Engineering Federation VDMA.
The VDMA represents approximately 3,000 mainly small/medium size member companies in the engineering industry and is one of the largest and most important industrial federations in Europe.
After completion of a degree in process engineering, Martina Claus accumulated experience over 22 years in development projects and project management in the chemical, foodstuff and packaging industries.
She commenced her career at Degussa as a project engineer in the development center, specializing in mechanical process technology. She then moved to the Bahlsen Snacks Company, now known as Lorenz Snack World, initially with responsibility for project management, and later as leader of the German packaging management team. In her second-last position she was responsible within the COPACO Group, a cooperation of mid-sized packaging manufacturers, for the technology and development coordination. Ultimately she took on the management of COPACO’s joint technology service center.
Additionally she is a certified quality manager and auditor and audits regularly German companies for their fulfillment of international quality and hygiene management standards.
