Stefan Henkelmann is Head of Division of the Sparkassenstiftung für internationale Kooperation (Savings Banks Foundation for International Cooperation) in Bonn, Germany.

SBFIC is the non-profit international consulting arm of the Sparkassen-Finanzgruppe, the largest banking group in Germany with a market share of 36 % and more, particularly in retail and SME business.     

Stefan Henkelmann combines ample experience in bank management and SME business from various positions in Sparkasse Arnsberg-Sundern with more than a decade of international experience in development cooperation. As long term advisor for NamPost Savings Bank, project manager and head of division of SBFIC he worked in senior consulting and managerial positions for projects in Africa and Asia. Focus areas range from the institutional development of financial institutions to financial and vocational education and the collaboration of decentralised institutions through associations.
