Dr. Babette Wehrmann, Germany

Dr. Babette Wehrmann is an international expert on land governance and corporate social responsibility. She is working with international organizations such as the World Bank, FAO, UN-HABITAT and GIZ as well as at the Technical University of Munich and other universities.

She has been working in more than 25 countries in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Middle East. As Senior Land Tenure Officer at FAO she has been coordinating the development of the Voluntary Guidelines on Responsible Governance of Tenure. She is currently supporting different initiatives to support the implementation of these Guidelines by private sector.
Dr. Babette Wehrmann holds a PhD and a MSc in Geography as well as a MA in Social Anthropology. She studied in France, Germany and USA. Throughout the years she has published a considerable number of notable publications, including academic articles as well as practical guides and hand books.
